For many years the old tram depot of Weimar, with its rustic atmosphere, has served as the ideal location for the backup_festival, through the cooperation of the Lichthaus-Cinema.
One movie theatre, one event hall, two workshops, as well as the outside area of the tram depot are ready for decoration and design by students of architecture, visual communication, and media design specifically for the festival.
